Some children are natural animal lovers, and the tiny girl in this story is no exception. Her love for animals shines through in her interactions with her uncle’s horses.

During a Christmas holiday visit to her uncle’s place in St Leonards, she got the chance to be up close with these majestic creatures in his horse stable.

It was an opportunity for her to connect with her four-legged friends in a way most kids can only dream of.

This little girl developed a morning routine that she absolutely adored, and unsurprisingly, it involved her equine friends. Her parents captured one of these special moments on camera.

The video shows her walking up to a horse, petting its nose, and then receiving a gentle nudge in return, allowing her to plant a sweet kiss on its muzzle.

But why stop at one? The toddler then hurried over to another horse, patiently waiting for it to lower its head.

Once it was within reach, she gave this horse a kiss too.

It’s a simple gesture, but it speaks volumes about the bond she shares with these animals.

The little girl, still in diapers and small in stature, showed no fear as she moved from one horse to the next.

Each horse seemed just as calm and comfortable with her presence, eagerly awaiting their turn for her affection.

Whether it was a pat on the nose or a gentle stroke, each horse received her love.

Recognizing the sheer cuteness of these interactions, her parents decided to share the video online.

Her mom described the experience beautifully:

“Our daughter loves animals, so you can imagine how excited she was visiting her uncle’s stables in St Leonard’s at Christmas time. She spent every morning running to the stables to check on the horses, patting, feeding and kissing them. She adores horses and is very gentle with them, and they looked forward to her visits, each popping their heads out to greet her as she passed.”

This raises an interesting question: were the horses just as happy to see the little girl as she was to see them? Research suggests this might be the case.

A study reported by the Independent found that horses can read and remember human emotions based on facial expressions.

Karen Combs, a professor of animal behavior at the University of Sussex, explained:

“What we’ve found is that horses can not only read human facial expressions but they can also remember a person’s previous emotional state when they meet them later that day – and, crucially, that they adapt their behaviour accordingly.”

It’s a simple video, but it’s the small moments like these that can truly brighten our day.

The internet’s reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with one person commenting:

“Wonderful gift you’ve provided this little one!! Learning about kindness~!”

Another added, “You can almost hear the horses saying ‘Good morning, little human!!’ So cute!”
